Maternal/Child Programs
Adult Health Programs
Children Birth to Five years old
Children’s Special Health Care Services Health care program for children 0 – 21 who have medical care needs (covers many illnesses).
Headstart Screening Health evaluations for Headstart children.
Hearing and Vision Hearing and vision screening in schools and periodic free clinics at Health Department.
Immunizations Vaccinations to protect children against childhood diseases.
Infant Health Program Milege payment – for health related appointments (i.e. Dr., WIC) Parent Class – pays up to $25 for parent to attend.
Medicaid Dental Clinic Provides a full range of dental services.
MIChild Health Insurance for only $10.00 per month.
Newborn Home Visiting Home visit by Registered Nurse to check baby, answer questions, offer information.
SIDS Counseling Home visit(s) by trained professional after a baby dies from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death).
WIC
Family Planning Pregnancy tests, birth control, emergency contraception. All services are CONFIDENTIAL no matter what age.

Immunizations Meningitis for college students, to prevent STD’s, Cancer.
Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) clinic CONFIDENTIAL testing and information.

Northern Health Plan Provides payment for basic health care.
Northern Prescription Discount Plan Limited prescription drug discount coverage.
Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) clinic Testing and information .

Medicaid Dental Clinic Provides a full range of dental services.

Northern Prescription Discount Plan Limited prescription drug discount coverage.
Women’s Cancer Screening Provides breast and cervical cancer screen, Pap test, Mammogram.
Adult Women 50 through 64 years old.
Colorectal Cancer Screening Program that provides free screening for those who qualify.
Adult Day Care Provides a safe and therapeutic place for caregivers to leave adults who cannot be left alone.
Alzheimer’s Information and Training Professional and caregiver trainings offered periodically.
Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Investigation of all reportable communicable diseases with services and information to control and prevent the spread of disease.
HIV/AIDS Counseling and Testing Court Ordered testing completed upon referral and in conjunction with Family Planning.
Jail Health Health evaluations and care for inmates.
Northern Health Plan Provides payment for basic health care services.
Northern Prescription Discount Plan Limited prescription drug discount coverage.
